I'm Theo! I'm a 25 y/o man currently living in Ohio! I hail from Houston, Texas and grew up all around south of Dallas! I came to Ohio in early 2022 and have been here ever since!
Growing up, my mother did a good job of making sure we all shared her burning passion for what mattered most: ART! From photographers and tattoo artists to writers, we all have our own art form. I, being the youngest of the bunch, have inherited a little interest in all of them!

I started drawing on a very niche and unlikely platform called Flipnote Hatena in 2013. This was done through my DSI XL after I saw someone's artwork posted and really wanted to do similar work! I befriended that person and did everything I could to learn, ultimately leading me down the path to become who I am today!

Art is such a big part of who I am, I simply wouldn't be me without it. I'm also a firm believer that the world just wouldn't survive without artists and creativity, and know that everyone is capable of being creative. I mourn when artists become "former artists" and constantly encourage those around me to create something new!

I've fought using my illustrations in a career path, but now have set myself to doing what I love; teaching art! To inspire others and share my experiences, maybe even help someone fall in love with art for the first time, would make me immeasurably happy.

"Shoot"

A small personal loop animation made on a 300x300 digital canvas. It's incredibly minimal in it's animation, meant simply to communicate an emotion rather than any artistic meaning or story. I adore this image, it's just a wholesome cute doodle there to communicate love and happiness! When it comes to my "default" artstyle, an expression of love and happiness is truly what I aim for.

"Jorj"

An alternate artstyle based on another's, this is a simple vector drawing of a grey bear-like cat with a collar adorned with a pink bell. Posed in a maneki-neko pose, this was a personal piece! I appreciate this image for how far outside of my default artstyle it goes, as I constantly strive to push my capabilities to draw whatever I want, and however I want!

"NekoMaster"

This image was a poster I created as a personal piece for someone very near and dear to my heart. Featuring a fully rendered drawing of a character, logo, and personal little message at the bottom. I left the background rather plain so as not to take away from the character himself! This was created specifically for large printing.

"Dirty Girl Coffee"

Created for New Leaf Marketplace in Nelsonville, Ohio. I did a lot of work for the social media of a cafe, including this image to advertise their drip coffee.

"Teal Day Template"

During my internship at OAESV (Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence), I worked on their Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) toolkit for members. Included here is my template for members to partake in Teal Day; a day where you wear teal to raise awareness for survivors of sexual assault. When I joined the internship, they asked me to use "organic shapes," but I got off subject and used hexagons in this image. However, they still liked the final template!

"How To Be An Ally"

As a part of my internship at OAESV (Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence), I created a number of multi page graphics for posting to social media. This mostly included educational/informational materials such as this! I enjoyed these a lot both in researching what content should be in these graphics, and how to lay it out in a visually appealing AND easy to digest manner!

"Ladder"

Taken on a Canon EOS T2i in 2023. While out on a walk, I knealt down in a small and rather empty flower bed to snap some quick photos, as I had done a number of times that day. When I got home to check out the photos out of the sun, I was surprised this one came out so well! I prefer not to take photos of nature most of the time, as I feel it's rather generic, but nonetheless I'm happy with how this turned out for a quick snap.

"Little Prince"

As a part of PSK (Public Square Kitties), I take care of a plethora of stray cats! One of these cats is Little Prince; a silver tabby who genuinely believes he's far better than everyone else. This boy was the first cat I met in Nelsonville, and has become a good part of my family. He exudes so much beauty, it's hard NOT to capture it in a photo!

"The Meter Shop"

My preference for subjects to photograph will always be in the grimy and "ugly". The old rusted Meter Shop sign in the back of an old building in Nelsonville captured that well, with it's cobwebs, long-since nonfunctioning light, and exposed pipes and wires. It's CRUNCHY, and I adore it.
